Singer Paul Okoye of the estranged music group PSquare has confirmed that the duo will never reunite.
In a recent early morning Instagram live session, Paul threw shade at his twin brother, Peter Okoye, making it clear that their musical partnership is over.
Paul expressed his frustration with the past dynamic, where he felt like he was doing all the work while Peter benefited.
Referring to this, Paul said, “And the new me eh, you see those days when Monkey dey work, Baboon dey chop, I no dey do am again. So I better dey work for myself only. Every time only me dey sing all the songs, I no dey do again.”
His comments shocked many fans, who had hoped for a reunion.
Paul emphasised that he now prefers to work for himself rather than continue a partnership he felt was imbalanced.
Paul had previously opened up about their fallout, recalling how Peter allegedly had him and their older brother, Jude Okoye, arrested by a commission in December 2023. However, Paul noted that after a thorough investigation, he was cleared of any allegations.
Responding to Paul’s claims, Peter denied having his twin brother arrested.
He clarified that the petition he filed was against their elder brother, Jude, after discovering that Jude had been diverting money into a secret account shared with his wife.
Peter stated that he never targeted Paul, but expressed disappointment that instead of joining forces to reclaim their top spot in the music industry, Paul sided with Jude.
Peter also accused his twin of disrespecting him, his family, and his ideas, which contributed to the rift between them.
