At about 8 am on Thursday, August 12, 2021, the studios of Nigeria’s first full HD Television, Hi-Impact TV caught fire.
However, staff of the TV station and those of the largest amusement park in Nigeria Hi-Impact Planet Amusement Park & Resort rose to the occasion by curtailing the spread of the fire before the arrival of men of Ogun State and Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) fire services who were able to put out the fire.
A statement from the organisation indicates that no life was lost.
According Adeyeloye Lipede, Managing Director, Solution Media & Infotech who signed the statement, “No life was lost in the unfortunate incident and the Amusement Park & Resort is still intact.
“The cause of the fire outbreak is yet to be ascetained. The television station is an arm of Solution Media & Infotech and operates from the premises of Hi-Impact Planet Amusement Park & Resort located at Ibafo, Ogun State.
“Meanwhile, normal summer activities at the Park have been scheduled to resume by Thursday August 19, 2021.”
