Thousands of Americans once again flooded the streets across all 50 states in the United States on Saturday in protest against recent actions by President Donald Trump.
The coordinated wave of demonstrations, branded “50501” for “50 protests, 50 states, 1 movement,” coincided with the 250th anniversary of the start of the American Revolutionary War.
Protesters gathered outside the White House, in front of Tesla dealerships, and in city centres nationwide to voice a broad array of grievances against the administration.
According to the BBC, a key concern raised during the protests was the controversial deportation of Kilmar Ábrego García, who was mistakenly deported to El Salvador.
Protesters criticised the administration’s refusal to facilitate his return. “He could easily pressure El Salvador to bring him back,” Gihad Elgendy told CNN, as he joined crowds near the White House.

The demonstrations also targeted Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency (Doge), a programme aimed at reducing federal jobs and cutting government spending.
The protesters were seen holding various placards with inscriptions such as “No King! No Tyranny!”, “No Kings in America” and “Deport Trump to El Salvador,” among others.
Tribune Online reports that earlier this month, the “Hands Off” protests drew hundreds of thousands to the streets in what was the largest nationwide mobilisation since Trump’s return to power.
Held in 1,200 locations across the country, those rallies voiced concern over several issues, including reproductive rights, trade tariffs, and perceived threats to civil liberties.
