NNPP receives APC, PDP ex-senators, reps members, over 10,000 others in Jigawa

THE Jigawa State chapter of the New Nigerian People Party (NNPP) received over 10,000 decampees from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and the People Democratic Party (PDP),including former senators, reps members.

This was disclosed by the state’s care takers committee chairman, former Senator Musa Bako Aujara while speaking to newsmen shortly after the formal handing over of the party to the new elected state’s party executive at the secretariat said “among the decampees included former commissioners, local government chairmen and special advisers and assistance.

The ex-chairman caretaker committee stated further that “the new executives of the party In 287 political wards, 27 local government areas and the state level have emerged through democratic processes, free and fair election”.

Senator Bako explained that, NNPP has established a formidable structure in Jigawa state with the capacity to clinch power from APC in the state by 2023.

According to him “Today NNPP stand as a best options to Nigerians, this make the party attractive, also going by the large number of people trooping in to the party every day, this gives us hope that NNPP are on a clear path to take over Nigeria and 36 state in the forthcoming 2023 general election”.

Speaking on behalf of the decampees, the former special assistant on media to former governor Sule Lamido, Hon. Lawan A. Kazaure said, they dumped PDP for NNPP due to political inconsistency, nepotism and lack of clear direction in the party.

He explained that, they have been calling and drawing the attention of party leaders to abide by democratic tenants and spirit of national patriotism but they refused to listing to the advice..

“So in view of these, from today we have dumped PDP and formally joined NNPP to provide Nigerians with better political party that has concern for Nigeria and Nigerians as APC and PDP have failed and disappointed them in the last 22 years ” Kazaure declared.
