The New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) has expressed sadness over the recent passing of the immediate past Minister of Science, Technology, and Innovation, Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu.
In a statement made available to Tribune Online in Abuja over the weekend by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Ladipo Johnson, NNPP National Chairman, Dr. Ajuji Ahmed, described Onu’s death as a huge loss to the nation. He reckoned that the former Abia State governor was an exceptional politician and patriot.
The statement noted, in particular, Onu’s leadership, consistency, and contributions to national unity.
“With profound sadness, we express our heartfelt condolences to the family and associates of the late Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu. We extend our sincere and heartfelt condolences to his relative and our colleague, the NNPP Deputy National Chairman (South), Prince Nwaeze Onu, on this huge loss.
