Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing has taken to social media to express her opinions on the ongoing Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) Season 9 and its viewership amid nationwide protests in Nigeria.
In a recent Instagram story, Blessing shared her thoughts in Pidgin English, stating:
“People wey Dey big brother house go think say dem dey watch them like that oo. I no even get DStv, na big brother I go chop? If dem sabi una face when una come out just thank God… Mtsewwwww!!!”
This translates to: “People in the Big Brother house think they are being watched so much. I don’t even have DStv; will Big Brother feed me? If people recognise your face when you come out, just thank God.”
Nkechi Blessing’s post highlights her belief that Nigerians are too preoccupied with the ongoing protests to focus on watching BBNaija.
The protests, scheduled from August 1 to August 10, are addressing issues such as insecurity, economic hardship, etc.
