The Edo State Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) has congratulated Senator Monday Okpebholo on his recent governorship election victory in Edo State.
The association characterized the election victory of the Esan-born politician, who represents Edo Central Senatorial District at the National Assembly, as a well-deserved achievement.
This commendation was expressed in a statement signed by the State Chairman, Dr. James-Wisdom Abhulimen, and shared with journalists by the State Publicity Committee Chairman of the NIPR, Paul Okojie.
Abhulimen urged the Governor-elect to be magnanimous in victory by embracing all stakeholders, regardless of their political affiliations, as he prepares to assume the responsibilities of his new office.
The Institute advised Senator Okpebholo to assemble a team of technocrats who possess integrity, experience, and a passion for service, ensuring that his administration is guided by expertise and dedication in pursuing his vision of a ‘New Edo.’
He also emphasized the importance of continuity, recommending that the Governor-elect prioritize the completion of ongoing developmental projects initiated by the outgoing administration of Governor Godwin Obaseki. This, they noted, would demonstrate his commitment to progress and sustainable development.
Assuring him of their unwavering support, the NIPR pledged to provide professional expertise and guidance to enhance communication strategies and governance during his tenure.
