Most Rev M. O. Fape
The Archbishop of the Ecclesiastical Province of Lagos, The Most Reverend (Dr) Olusina Fape, has charged Nigerians to dedicate their lives to the service of God and mankind for them to inherit eternity.
He said this in his sermon at the order of funeral and thanksgiving service for Prince Folorunso Adeola Osibona, held at the Our Saviour’s Anglican Church, Ikenne-Remo, Ogun State, on Friday.
The cleric noted that the deceased left behind good legacies by dedicating his time and what God had endowed him with to the service of people.
Fape, who doubles as the Bishop of Remo, submitted that on no account of social status and achievements in life, should anyone fail to inherit God’s kingdom.
The cleric said, “On account of whatsoever achievements we have in life, we should not abandon God. Papa Osibona dedicated his life to the service of God. It is unfortunate that majority of the youth in this country are not ready to serve God or fear Him.
“Death is the inevitable end of all mankind. We shall all taste death. We are in this world to assist one another. No one is an Island. Your condition here on earth will not guarantee your eternity.”
In attendance at the programme were the wife of the General Overseer, Four square Gospel Church, Rev.(Mrs) Bisi Meduoye, the co-chairman, African Newspapers of Nigeria (ANN) Plc, Dr. Olatokunbo Awolowo Dosumu, Chief Idowu Sofola (SAN), brother of the deceased.
Others include Chief Adeleke Adesina, Chief (Mrs) Mercy Owolana, Mr Kayode Sofola, Chief (Mrs) Mercy Ajayi, Mr. Femi Osibona and Mrs. Ebunoluwa Abatan, among others.
