Nigerian leadership expert and author, Peter Adeleke, popularly known as Peter Trailblazer, is attempting to break the Guinness World Record for the longest leadership lesson.
While the current record stands at 24 hours, Adeleke is determined to double it with 48 hours of continuous teaching.
The attempt, scheduled to hold between August 29 and 30, 2025, will take place at 451 Northmount Dr NW, Calgary, AB T2K 3H8, Canada.
“This is more than a world record attempt, it’s a movement,” Adeleke said. “We need leaders who can steer organisations and communities through transformation and uncertainty, and this marathon is an opportunity to provide critical leadership training to those who need it most.”
With a Master’s Degree in Leadership and years of experience as a trainer, Adeleke has built his philosophy around what he calls Global Transformational Leadership. His approach draws inspiration from the humility of servant leadership, likening it to “towels—like Jesus washing the feet of His disciples.”
The 48-hour marathon, which will be streamed to a global audience via YouTube, will feature practical lessons in purpose, resilience, strategic planning, effective communication, coaching, empowerment, and innovative leadership.
His focus will be on equipping students, professionals, and business owners with the empathy, resilience, adaptability, and vision needed to thrive in today’s fast-changing world.
“Delay in leadership development is a down payment on tomorrow’s crises,” he warned. “If we wait for ‘another time,’ we risk raising a generation unprepared to lead in a complex world.”
He added: “As an author, my journey has been about challenging mindsets and reshaping the conversation around leadership, not just as a title, but as a calling, a skill, and a responsibility,” he said. “In every sphere of life, politics, business, faith, sports, education, the quality of leadership determines the results.”
