MINISTER of Communication, Barrister Adebayo Shittu, serving member, House of Representatives and candidate of Action Democratic Congress (ADC), Honourable Abiodun Olasupo and All Progressive Congress (APC) candidate for ISEYIN/Itesiwaju/Kajola/Iwajowa federal constituency, Mr Shina Abiola Peller, all voted in their respective polling units in Saki and ISEYIN respectively.
Shittu cast his vote at his polling unit in Saki at around 8:45 am just as Honourable Olasupo exercised his voting tight at his ward unit, Eru Oba, 004, Ekunle, ISEYIN while Abiola voted around 10:30 am at Baptist Second art school, Koso, ISEYIN,
Shittu commanded INEC for ensuring voting materials get to centre early enough to enable people to participate in the exercise he described as smooth.
In an interview, Honourable Olasupo said the turn out of voters, not minding the one-week postponement has been very impressive.

He said “generally, the election process and organisation has been very impressive. There have been contacts around the town, community and the entire constituency in all, no cause for alarm. So far, security agencies have done well, everything is under control.”
Commanding INEC’s level of preparation, Olasupo said “materials were delivered at the polling units on time. The only thing I noticed is the change in the process. If you can remember the last election, you accredit, wait, then vote. But this time around, you accredit and vote, so its a little bit crowdy. But I know the process will be get done as quickly as possible.”
In his assessment, before he cast his vote, the APC candidate for ISEYIN/Itesiwaju/Kajola/Iwajowa, Abiola Peller said the whole process is going on free and fair thereby instil confidence in the people which necessitated large turnout.
His words,” the entire process as put up by INEC has been free and fair. there has been no chaos, people have been orderly. We hope the process will continue like this.
“For what we’ve seen, we can say that INEC is organised. The situation here so that the environment is calm and with the process that INEC has put in place, I think everybody is happy with it.”
