Professor Muhammad Suleiman, Vice chancellor of Nasarawa state University, Lafia  the collation officer for the Federal Capital Territory on Monday presented the results of the presidential election for the nation’s capital. The PDP candidate scored 259, 997 to the APC 152, 224.
Total number of registered voters were 1,335,015 and Accredited voters were 46, 778. A figure of of 423, 951 was given as vald votes and rejected votes was 27, 457. The collation officer gave 451, 408 as total number of valid votes cast.
For Kwara state, the Collation Officer was Professor Abdullahi Bala, Vice chancellor, Federal University of Technology, Minna.
According to results he presented, APC scored 308, 984 to defeat the PDP which scored 138, 184. Total number of accredited voters were 489, 482, total valid votes given as 459, 676, and 26, 578 as rejected votes. Total votes cast was 486. 254.

Giving explanation for the cancellation of 725 votes in Baruten, Edu and Ilorin west, Professor Bala said “reason for cancellation, in Baruten was non usage of Smart Card Reader and over voting in Edu and Ilorin west.”
The APC won in Nasarawa state with 28, 903 as against PDP 28, 847.
Professor Azubuike Nwanko, Academic Provost, Nigerian Defence Academy who presented the results of the 13 local councils in the North central state gave registered voters as 150, 9481 and accredited voters as 613, 720 and total valid votes as 580, 778. Rejected votes was 18, 621 and cancelled votes as 157, 591. Total votes cast were 599, 399.
The party agent of the All Progressives Grand Alliance raised objection to the cancellation of over 157, 599 votes in 86 polling units across 7 local councils by the Collation officer who claimed the votes  were cancelled as a result of over voting and what he called ‘gangsterism.’
