The All Progressive Congress (APC) has won the presidential election conducted in Bakura Local Government Area of Zamfara.
Announcing the result on Monday, the Collation Officer of the local government, Mr Samaila Moyi, said the area had 47 wards with total registered voters of 92, 697.
“Accredited voters were 52, 358 while the valid votes cast were 50,481.
“APC scored 36, 954 votes, PDP with 13, 180, APGA 33 and NRM 36 while 457 votes were rejected,’’ he said.

He disclosed that there was cancellation of election in four polling units from four different registration areas in the local government area.
He listed the polling units as; Yargida, Damko and Birnintudu, all for over voting problem, adding that Rini was also cancelled due to security issues.
