Nigeria, Turkey strengthen economic ties

The Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy Mr Wale Edun has conferred with a high level Turkish delegation in a bid to bolster economic cooperation.

The meeting took place on Friday when Edun received in his office in Abuja today a delegation led by the Turkish Ambassador to Nigeria, H.E. Hidayet Bayraktai.

Director, Information and Public Relations said the meeting marked a crucial step in enhancing trade and investment between Nigeria and Turkey, with both nations expressing commitment to fostering a business-friendly environment.

According to him, the discussion centered on exploring new opportunities for economic growth, with Edun reaffirming President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s commitment to sustainable economic growth under the Renewed Hope Agenda.

The Minister also assured the delegation of the government’s continued support for foreign businesses, providing strategic insights to further strengthen economic ties.

The delegation commended Nigeria’s economic progress and expressed appreciation for President Bola Tinubu’s efforts in fostering a business-friendly environment.

They also explored new opportunities to enhance trade and investment between both nations.

Manga stated that with this meeting, Nigeria and Turkey are poised to take their economic relationship to the next level, driving growth, investment, and prosperity for both nations.
