Niger South: Senator Ndalikali trains 120 market women in financial literacy

Senator Ndalikali trains market women, Eid-el-Kabir: Senator Ndalikali urges muslims to promote peace, unity

Senator representing Niger South senatorial district, Senator Peter Ndalikali Jiya, has organised a capacity development training programme for market women and youths in financial literacy and inclusion.

The innovative programme is aimed at equipping the one hundred and twenty participants,( 120) comprising fifteen individuals(15) from each local government with the essential knowledge and skills to manage their finances effectively.

Among the local government councils in Niger South Senatorial District includes: Bida, Agaie, Gbako, Mokwa, Edati, Lavun, Katcha, and Lapai local governments, respectively,

It was also gathered that the market women and youths were empowered with a total sum of N50,000 each.

However, the report also has it that the training will enable participants/ beneficiaries to make informed decisions about their financial lives, promoting financial inclusion and economic growth in the region/ Senatorial District.

While Commending the Senator’s effort, the Special Adviser (S.A) on Political Matters to the Senator, Honourable Ibrahim Yakubu, who was also in attendance, noted that the programme’s potential will drive meaningful change in the community and thereby, encouraged participants to be productive in their respective trades.

Reacting to impact of the program, the participants were overjoyed and grateful for the senator’s kindness and promised to utilise their newfound knowledge to improve their lives.
