The Commissioner of Police, Niger State Command, CP Shawulu Ebenezer Danmamman, fsi, has organised a conference for the female personnel of the Command with the theme: Reinvigorating and Rekindling the Mindset of Women Police into the Proper Exhibition of Police Duties on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at the Police Officers’ Mess in Minna.

Participants were drawn from the various divisions and area commands within the metropolis for the first phase, while subsequent phases will include other divisions and area commands across the state.

During the conference, the female personnel were lectured by DPO Morris, CSP Ebi Kosipre, who addressed general discipline and the standard mode of dressing expected of female police officers. Additionally, the gender desk officer of the Command and head of the Women and Children Protection Unit (WCPU), SP Olubunmi Duyilemi, refreshed the participants on the roles and responsibilities of women in the police force, as well as parental care at home.

The interaction session among the participants was engaging, demonstrating their interest and willingness to enhance their learning and knowledge.

In her vote of thanks, ASP Allwell Johnson, speaking on behalf of the participants, expressed appreciation to the Inspector General of Police and the Commissioner of Police, Niger State Command, for providing the opportunity for such a valuable training programme, which aims to refresh their professional skills and improve their performance in police duties.
