Niger govt receives five-day itinerary proposal for 50th anniversary

Niger Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, has received a 5-day itinerary proposal for the state’s 50th anniversary celebration, tagged “Niger State @ 50”.

The proposal aims to honour the state’s rich history and showcase its cultural diversity, achievements, and tourism potentials.

The event, scheduled for 2026, will feature various activities, including special prayers, sports, education, cultural festival, and awards.

Governor Bago commended the project manager for the proposal and directed relevant ministries to begin preparations immediately, emphasising the importance of the Golden Jubilee celebration.
