The Zonal Director of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) South West Zone, Stephen Adewale, has reiterated the need for increased collaboration with sister agencies to enhance disaster management effectiveness.
Adewale made this statement during a courtesy visit to the office of Ekiti State Deputy Governor, Chief Monisade Afuye, in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital.
He expressed appreciation to the Director General of NEMA, Mustapha Habib Ahmed, for his visionary leadership in establishing the new structure of the Zonal Directorate, aiming to minimize response time to disasters in Nigeria.
Adewale also commended Ekiti SEMA and the Office of the Deputy Governor for their robust collaboration with NEMA in addressing disasters in Ekiti.

The Zonal Director emphasized the need for the sustained collaboration between NEMA and relevant agencies to achieve significant progress in disaster management.
In response, the Deputy Governor thanked NEMA for its ongoing cooperation and noted that the creation of the Zonal Directorate would significantly reduce response times.
The Zonal Director was accompanied by the Head of Ekiti Operations Office, Dr. Kofoworola Soleye, and other staff of the Ekiti Operations Office.
