The National Directorate of Employment (NDE) has announced the commencement of the second phase of online registration for the Renewed Hope Employment Initiative in Ekiti State.
The Director General of NDE, Silas Ali Agara, had said that in line with the renewed hope agenda of President Bola Tinubu, no fewer than 21,782 unemployed and unskilled individuals across the country would be engaged.
He said the move was part of the mandate of the agency aimed at addressing the growing level of unemployment in the country.
The state coordinator of NDE in Ekiti State, Engr. Ilori Paul Idowu, in a statement in Ado-Ekiti, revealed that the online registration would begin on July 28th and end on August 11th, 2025.
The coordinator added that the successful candidates would be trained and provided with start-up funds and equipment for them to flourish in their chosen vocation and entrepreneurial skills.
He said, “This second phase of the NDE Renewed Hope Employment Initiative will provide Vocational, Agricultural, Digital, and Entrepreneurial skills training with activities in the public works sectors using over 30 different skill sets.
“At the end of the training, some of the successful participants will be provided with start-up capital, equipment, and working tools as soft loans to commence small or medium-scale businesses.
“We enjoined interested persons in Ekiti State to log on to the NDE website at www.nde.gov.ng or directly to www.nderegistrationportal.ng and register with a valid National Identity Number (NIN) and a recent passport photograph.”
Ilori stated that enrolment into the employment programme is strictly online and open to persons within the state.
