The Nigeria Computer Society (NCS) has expressed readiness to review development in telecom sector while focusing on communication e-systems and innovative systems at its major international conference.
The President, NCS Prof. Adesina Sodiya, made this known at the press conference in Lagos.
He stated that the conference aimed to bring IT development forward, as over 1,500 stakeholders in the sector will be making vital decisions for IT Growth in the country.
The thematic areas for the conference fall into five main areas: communications technologies, technology governance, e-systems for the smart city, e-government and e-business; e-culture and digital society; and e-health with the theme-: “Communications and e-Systems for Economic Stability” (CESES 2023).
According to Sodiya, NCS will use the occasion of the international conference to appreciate the governor of Bauchi state who is the Chief Host of the Occasion, adding that, “the conference will gather students, academic researchers, business leaders, practitioners, and policymakers to deliberate and share their experiences and research results on all aspects of communications and electronic systems.”
While revealing that the vice president of Nigeria will be present at the event as well as other notable speakers, NCS’s president pledged to partner and support the National Population Commission (NPC) to conduct the first digital population and housing census in Nigeria.
