NATOP FCT/Northern Zone to host first tourism roundtable in Abuja Nov2

In its commitment at creating business-driven activities for stakeholders in the tourism industry, the FCT/Northern Zone of the Nigeria Association of Tour Operators (NATOP) is set to hold the second edition of its zone tourism roundtable at Destination by Gidanka in Abuja on November 2.

The roundtable with the theme “Tourism Destination Discovery, Packaging and Promotion in the FCT/Northern Zone, is conceptualised to bring together industry stakeholders, tourism professionals, and distinguished dignitaries to discuss the potential and investment opportunities within the FCT/Northern Zone’s tourism sector.

According to a release made available to TravelpulseandMICE, The roundtable will feature a plenary session where participants will engage in insightful discussions with industry leaders and experts, exploring the intricacies of tourism development.

Also there will be platform for B2B & B2C opportunities to build essential business connections through dedicated networking sessions for a win-win business bid while there will also be an exhibition for participant to discover innovative products, services and investment prospects within the tourism sector as well as exploring solutions that can fuel growth and sustainability.

The event will rally participants from the tourism industry stakeholders; airlines and aviation representatives, diplomatic missions, insurance companies, state governments, government agencies and parastatals, security agencies and exhibitors, among others.

The Chief Hosts of the event is Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory Administration and Ms Lola Ade-John, Minister of Tourism while the Chairman of the occasion is the Chairman, Senate Committee on Culture and Tourism, Elisha Abbo.

Other special guests of honour are Dr Boboye Oyeyemi and Mr Nkereuwem Onung, President, Federation of Tourism Associations of Nigeria, while Alhaji Nura Kangiwa, Director-General of the National Institute for Hospitality and Tourism (NIHOTOUR), will deliver the keynote address.

According to the release, the panelists to do justice to the event team include Mr Amos Opoola, NATOP Financial Secretary; Alhaji Muntari Abdulkadir, Mandate Secretary, Social Development Secretariat, along with other esteemed panelists while Amb Wale Ojo-Lanre, a Veteran Journalist will moderate the session..

Few other dignitaries: Otunba Segun Runsewe, DG, National Council of Arts and Culture; Amb. Ikechi Uko, Akwaaba Travel Market; MrBiuDauda Ali, the Corps Marshal, FRSC; Bar. Mrs Hannatu Musawa, minister, Federal Ministry of Arts, Culture and Creative Economy; Professor Abba Tijani, DG, National Commissions for Museum and Monuments and others.
