For members of the National Assembly to think of, or actualise, the delivery of cars reportedly worth N3.6 billion in this era of recession when its members have been given loans to buy cars, is unthinkable. This shows the greedy mentality of our so-called honourables. Do they feel the pangs of hunger, unemployment, illiteracy, insecurity, blackouts and destitution that the people are facing?
The masses are in pains and chains. Can the present leaders rescue us and wipe out the hot tears in our eyes? I doubt it.
Currently, there is no pragmatic structure on the ground to mobilize the millions of unemployed youths to channel their mental energies into productive ventures in agriculture and allied industries.
What we are still hearing after one year of the present administration in office are promises of hope.
