NASC board: Youth coalition hails Tinubu for appointing Kalu

The Coalition of South East Youth Leaders (COSEYL), the apex sociopolitical youth group in the South East geopolitical zone, has expressed their profound gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the recent appointment of Hon. Chief Nnanna Uzor Kalu as a Board Member of the National Assembly Service Commission (NASC).

The youth body described it as a pivotal appointment and a clear testament to the President’s commitment to recognizing merit and competence in governance.

In a statement issued on Sunday by the President General of COSEYL, Comrade Good luck Ibem and the coalition Publicity Secretary Comrade Okry Nwaoru, they described Hon. Chief Nnanna Uzor Kalu, as a distinguished former three-term member of the Federal House of Representatives from 1999 to 2011.

According to them Hon. Kalu has consistently demonstrated exceptional dedication to national development and public service adding that his extensive experience and administrative excellence render him an outstanding choice for this sensitive and crucial role.

They said: “As a revered leader, Hon. Kalu’s track record of effective representation and commitment to the welfare of his people is commendable. His deep understanding of legislative processes, coupled with his unwavering commitment to fostering growth and development in our nation, assures us that he will excel in his new position”.

The body expressed it’s confident that he will leverage his expertise to contribute positively to the National Assembly Service Commission and, by extension, to the overall advancement of our country.

COSEYL said that the people of the South East are elated by this appointment adding that it not only highlights their region’s capacity to produce competent leaders but also reinforces their belief in the need for inclusivity and representation in national governance. 

The youth body expressed believe that this appointment will serve as an inspiration for the youth in our region to aspire towards leadership roles and contribute to building a better Nigeria.

While COSEYL vowed their stands and readiness to support Hon. Kalu in his new role and looks forward to the positive impact, they declared that he will undoubtedly make within the NASC and the nation at large.

The Coalition thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for this significant appointment and reaffirmed their commitment to supporting initiatives that promote meritocracy and national development.
