THE member representing Akwanga/Wamba/Nasarawa Eggon Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, Hon David Ombugadu has flagged off the construction of 1,500 boreholes in 1500 locations in his constituency.

Speaking during the flag off of the boreholes which was done through ‘Ombugadu Water Project for All’ at Akwanga Local Government Area of the state, the lawmaker said the construction was being done under the Ombugadu Foundation to tackle the problem of water scarcity in his constituency.

He explained that, the water project is in partnership with stakeholders in the North Central Nigeria, consisting Kogi, Plateau, Kwara, Niger, Benue and Nasarawa.

The member, who was represented by the trustee of the Ombugadu Foundation, Iliya Ashom, promised to initiate more policies and projects that would have direct bearing on the lives of his constituents and Nigerians at large.

“I want to thank my constituents for their continued support. I promise to do more projects in order to impact positively on your lives and the lives of other Nigerians for the overall development of the country.

“I have impacted on the people of my constituency through infrastructural development such as provision of transformers, health centres, water, youths and women empowerment”, he said.

Ombugadu further assured his constituents that he would continue to embark on people-oriented projects to fight poverty, unemployment and boost their socio-economic life style.
