The reconciliation committee set up by the Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule to reconcile aggrieved members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state, has submitted its report.
Sule had in June 2022, set up a committee headed by Hassan Liman (SAN), following the discontent which triggered the exodus of some stakeholders out of the party.
The chairman of the committee submitted the report to Governor Sule for implementation on Wednesday in Lafia, the state capital.
Liman said the committee met with over 95% of the aggrieved members during the cause of its assignment, noting that the affected persons are disposed to reconciliation.
He expressed hope that if the report is fully implemented, it would enable members to come together and work towards returning the party to power in 2023.
Receiving the report, Governor Sule commended the committee for the commitment and seriousness in the handling of its assignment.
He specifically thanked members for their sacrifice in ensuring that all aggrieved members of the party were reached.
He promised that the committee’s report would be implemented to the letter.
