MTN, a multi-million naira network company, has empowered no less than 5,000 students of Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO).
The company gave out free laptops, assorted phones, power banks, and other network facilities including a Changai RCV 3 brand new car to the winner of the raffle draw
Speaking at the MTN Pulse Campus Invasion held at the citadel of learning, on Thursday, the Proposition & Customer Insight-Marketing & Strategy (Youth Segment) MTN Nigeria, Femi Adesina described the 3-days activation in FUTO as an empowerment and entertainment programe designed for young people predominantly in tertiary institutions in the country.
He said that the event at FUTO is the second edition of the MTN Pulse Campus Invasion which has offered students who has business the platform to showcase their business for patronage.

Adesina said that the event is also aimed at sensitising students in the areas of entertainment adding that during the event, there were games and competitions which in the end brought about winers
He assured that the MTN Pulse Campus Invasion which was first held at the University of Abuja before FUTO will move to University of Benin and to some other tertiary institutions in the North.
He enumarated some of MTN business partners to include LG, Matter Guinness, Microsoft, Cream, amongst others adding that the company has committed huge amount of money to achieve good results.
Responding to the programs, a 400 level student of Chemical Engineering, in FUTO, Ugoeke Williams said that MTN is keened in empowering young people targeting students of Universities.
Ugoeke who is a benefiary of MTN scolarship between 2023-2024 said that MTN had offered learning opportunities to students in Nigerian and at the same time created MTN Skill Academy where young people can go and learn powerful technical skills.
He said that by this MTN has offered the confidence to every Nigerian Students despite infrastructural limitations.
Williams advised fellow students to take advantage of the provision of MTN good work and key into the skill academy in order to learn how to operate technologically.
