Oriyomi Hamzat, the founder of Agidigbo 88.7 FM, has apologised to Naira Marley and lifted the two-year ban on his songs on the radio station.
The ban was imposed in 2024 due to allegations of Naira Marley’s involvement in the death of his former signee, Mohbad, who passed away on September 12, 2023, at the age of 27.
Hamzat expressed regret for his earlier stance on the matter.

“I am very sorry for all my provocative statements or words to Naira Marley,” he pleaded.
He announced that Agidigbo FM would resume playing Naira Marley’s songs, and to affirm this, he played the singer’s hit track “Tesumole” on the station.
Hamzat emphasised that he never accused Naira Marley of murder or any unlawful act.
“I never said he committed murder or did anything illegal.”
He also prayed for God’s protection and wished peace for Mohbad’s family.
The apology comes after investigations vindicated Naira Marley from the allegations, leading Hamzat to admit that his decision was based on wrong assumptions.
The move has sparked mixed reactions, with some listeners praising Hamzat for making peace, while others believe the station should have maintained its stance out of respect for Mohbad’s memory.
