The Ministry of Steel Development is working on a conference, which will give a roadmap for revitalisation of Ajaokuta Steel Plant, where all critical stakeholders will be invited including Union leaders.
The Chairman Iron and Steel Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (ISSSAN), Comr. Ibrahim Audu Abdurrahman disclosed this in a press statement issued on Thursday and made available to Newsmen.
According to him, sequence to their last publication titled, delay of Ajaokuta Steel Plant Revitalisation had attracted serious concern personalities and called for urgent attention thus; illustrating good leadership of present administration under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR.
He mentioned that the Leadership of Iron and Steel Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (ISSSAN), had been made to understand from the Ministry that privatisation process would be discussed at roundtable in the said conference to evaluate and establish the conceptualization of utmost benefit of our dear country.
The statement read as follows, “The Hon Minister has been in touch with critical stakeholders immediately after signing of memorandum of understanding (MOU) in Russia for effectiveness of Ajaokuta Steel Plant revitalization.
“Verily, good Leadership is the ability to guide and inspire a group of people to achieve a common goal, while also considering values, interpersonal skills, and the commitment to collective success. Perhaps, some of the qualities include integrity, empathy, empowerment, and communication. Above all, empathy and communication are our connected words of concern regarding our previous publication.
“Empathy simply connotes being able to understand and share the emotions of others. This helps Leaders at all levels to see things from other people’s perspectives and find solutions that benefit everyone. While, Communication means, being able to speak with and listen to staff members, respond to questions and concerns, and be empathetic.
“Therein, no doubt it is a commendable style of Leadership under Hon Minister, Prince Abubakar Audu Shaibu for his steadfastness to ensure Ajaokuta Steel plant is revitalized in due course. The Leadership of Iron and Steel Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (ISSSAN), Comrade Ibrahim Audu Abdulrahman wishes to say emphatically that we are focused and working assiduously to mitigate and create positive awareness and unwavering support for the Ministry of Steel Development and the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
