If you haven’t heard of Disney Martinez, you’ve got a new role model to look up to now. At the age of 31, she has accomplished more in her life than many of us may ever see fit to accomplish and she is not slowing down any time soon. Just a little scrolling through her social media profiles will leave you craving the lifestyle she has cultivated for herself, but beware: it all came as a result of a lot of good, old-fashioned hard work.
Born in Havana, Cuba, Martinez moved to the United States at age 15 with a drive but not necessarily a direction. She quickly found it in her now-husband Jorge de la Concepcion. The two bonded instantly over a shared love for physical fitness and a common drive to succeed. They may have had an idea at the time, but neither one could have completely fathomed just how unstoppable the two would be together.
Marrying in 2009 and having their energetic, loving children Lucas and Jade in 2013 and 2015, respectively, the couple cultivated the kind of family many of us only dream of. Involved, supportive, loving, and among all else, incredibly successful, one would almost wish that they would adopt one. Disney and Jorge’s incredible success through the opportunities provided by their business can be cited as the couple’s launching pad into the stunning and sporty Miami lifestyle they appreciate daily.
On her way to the top, Disney has amassed over one million followers on Instagram. She shares with the world her entrepreneurial successes, fitness accomplishments, and tender and touching moments of her family’s lives. But more importantly to her, she shares words of encouragement and inspiration for women around the world.
Above all else, Disney would like to be known as a role model for women everywhere: a self-made, successful, hard working female who advises women not to compare themselves to one another, but to work hard to become and appreciate their own unique best selves. Disney is certainly succeeding in ensuring that her legacy will live on as such: “An inspiration for women all over the world, by showing them with my example it was possible to be a mom and still look and feel amazing.”
