About myself

I am a musical artiste from Akwa Ibom State but was raised in Kogi State. I had my primary and secondary education in Kogi State and then my university education in Ondo State, Adekunle Ajasin University precisely where I studied pure and applied psychology.

About my music

I have always loved music, although it started off from loving music so much and listening to likes of Bob Marley, Shaba Ranks, Sisquo, Snoop Dog, Wyclef  Jean etc. I started miming their songs like I was going to get paid for it. After a while, family, friends and school mates started tagging me with nick names; some called me Snoop Dog and some, Mike the rapper. So, the desire to be me and not to walk in another man’s shadow gave birth to a fully packed passion to craft out a niche, something like a manuscript of well thought upon lyrics, a proper attitude and a hundred percent delivery of my own kind of music that will speak for me.

Going with the saying “never despise the days of little beginning”, I will say my career started right from the days that I was unconsciously playing around and listening to the then raves of the moment which we now call old school. In my first year in university, I was forced by my friends into a talent hunt show. At the end of the day, I didn’t emerge the winner though but it was a conscious starting point as I got positive reviews and evaluation from people about my musical talent. So these made me pursue a career in music.

Challenges

So far so good, it’s been a good journey I must say. It was a bit challenging after my university education as I was caught in a web of confusion on what and where to go from here but as God would have it, someone got me linked to Mr. Daniel Adeyemi, the C.E.O of Weedout Records and that was another phase of my music career. I have released a couple of singles namely ‘Dangote’, to ‘Ebano’ to ‘Rampampam’, ‘Ojuelegba to Ajaokuta (Ojuelegba Cover)’ and I just rolled out a brand new single, ‘Fada’D’Fada’. So, I’d say on a scale of good, bad and ugly, things have been good since I have come to understand and agree that it’s one step at a time in life. But, I hope and pray I get elevated to the better and best part of it quicker than anticipated.

My inspiration

My inspiration is gotten from a handful of factors. The environment, my struggles, dreams, personality, previous songs (as I won’t want my previous song to sound better than my new song), my team, mentors, the fear of failure, desire to win and create an outstanding brand that stands zero chance of comparism.
