Marriage is a ministry of help —Oguniranye

A cleric has stated that marriage is a ministry of help and that spouses must always develop the capacity to make the union a successful marriage.

This was the advice of Reverend Taiwo Oguniranye to Christians and everyone at the wedding ceremony service between Christianah Oluwatobi and Emmanuel Oluwabusayo, at the Gog Is Able Evangelical Mission Church, Alapere, Ketu, Lagos, recently.

Reverend Oguniranye in his sermon entitled, “Marriage is a ministry of help”, stressed that spouses must develop capacity to make their union a successful marriage.

“Husband must develop the capacity to pray, train the children, develop the capacity to live above sin, develop the capacity to meet the needs of the home vice versa.  Prophet Elli could not train his children and they were cursed.

“Spouses must learn to add value to themselves, they should see themselves as help and not as a parasite. They should have purpose for a successful marriage by adding value to their marriage,” he added.

He, however, enjoined the newly wedded couple to live in harmony with each other and also add value to their relationship.

Reverend (Dr) T. A. Agbe later joined the couple and blessed the union.
