MAPOCAF’s Annual Homecoming 2024 Kicks Off Today with “Mercy Speaks”

The Moshood Abiola Polytechnic Christian Alumni Fellowship (MAPOCAF) kicks off its highly anticipated annual MAPOCAF Homecoming event today, running from Friday, November 1, through Sunday, November 3, 2024. This year’s theme, “Mercy Speaks,” calls alumni to experience divine mercy and grace as they gather for the weekend in Abeokuta.

MAPOCAF, a fellowship of Christian alumni from Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (formerly Ogun State Polytechnic), was founded in 1988 by a group of graduating students who had been deeply united through the Christian Union on campus. Committed to maintaining their bond, they established the fellowship to sustain their spiritual and social connections long after graduation.

This year, alumni from across the globe have returned to Abeokuta to reconnect, share their journeys, and engage in a range of events designed to renew their faith and strengthen their bonds. The gathering will feature prayer sessions, worship services, and reflection on how God’s mercy has shaped their lives since their student days.

Adeshina Adedamola, Chairman of the Homecoming 2024 Planning Committee, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “Each MAPOCAF Homecoming is a powerful time of renewal, and we’re excited for what ‘Mercy Speaks’ will bring to each one of us this weekend. It’s an opportunity for us to come together, reconnect, and experience God’s grace as a community.”

The event promises to be memorable as participants anticipate a weekend filled with meaningful fellowship, personal reflection, and a deepened sense of spiritual purpose.
