Many feared killed as Ondo-bound commuter bus crashes in Lagos

A passenger bus leaving Lagos for Ondo State early Tuesday morning crashed, with many feared dead.

The accident involved one of Ondo State’s Sunshine buses at Charly Boy bus stop, by Anthony along Gbagada Road.

The fully-loaded bus was a 12-passenger vehicle which reportedly took off from Oshodi.

An eye-witness at the accident scene at about 4.30am told Nigerian Tribune he saw many bodies laid on the ground.

Police officers were also reportedly seen evacuating the dead from the accident scene.

Though a stationary truck was seen at the accident scene, it could not be ascertained yet if the vehicle ran into it.

The incident reportedly led to a traffic snarl on the road.
