The accused, who has no fixed address, appeared on a charge for stealing.
He, however, entered a guilty plea.
The Police prosecutor, Insp. Cousin Adams told the court that the accused committed the offence on April 30, at 6.00 a.m., at Oyingbo Market, Ebute Meta.
Adams alleged that the accused had stolen a carton of dried fish valued at N130,000, belonging to the complainant, Anthonia Igwe.
The offence contravened Section 287 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015, which prescribes a seven-year jail term for offenders.
The Chief Magistrate, Mr Alex Komolafe, remanded the accused in Ikoyi Prison and fixed June 19 for facts and sentencing.
