A man, Innocent Ukwenya, who reportedly beat up a heavily pregnant woman, Jennifer Omini was on Friday charged before an Apapa magistrate’s court.
The accused, who resides at 7, Goriola Street, Ajegunle, was said to have warned his neighbour’s wife, before giving her a blow on her lower abdomen, causing her to be hospitalised.
Ukwenya, who pleaded not guilty, was granted N50,000 bail with two sureties in the like sum by Magistrate A. Shonubi who adjourned the case till October 3.
