Man dies while observing 19 days fast in Lagos

A yet-to-be-identified man, 58, has died while observing a 19-day spiritual fast in the Alagbado area of Lagos.

The Lagos State Police Command confirmed the incident, stating that the man’s younger brother reported his death at the Alagbado Police Division on Monday evening.

According to the police spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the deceased’s brother claimed that his sibling died during the 19-day dry fasting.

The police have stated that no foul play is suspected, and the family has requested to take the corpse for burial.
