The member representing Ibadan Northwest/Southwest Federal Constituency in the Federal House of Representatives, Honourable Adedeji Stanley Olajide, has ascribed the re-election of Governor Seyi Makinde to God.
Honourable Olajide said he’s optimistic that the governor will do more to improve on what he has started.
The lawmaker, who also won a return ticket in the February 25 National Assembly election, urged others to come on board and associate with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and also with Governor Makinde, saying they are ready to work with everybody, just as he added that the government will not sideline any individual.
Odidi Omo as he fondly called, said: “The victory is from God. Everybody was turning against us, right, left and centre, we did not waver, but we believed God could do it and we worked hard and God surprised everybody with this huge victory.
“I will not try to say we have anything to do with it, all the glory belongs to Allah because when you try to attribute any part of this huge victory to yourself, you are taking away the glory that belongs to Allah.
“And to even shame those who are so called ‘power blocs’, because when you call yourself a ‘power bloc’ in the presence of God, He will humiliate you and I think the margin has also humiliated the people who think they are something in the presence of Allah.
“This is a way the people of Oyo State are showing their appreciation for what Governor Makinde has been doing in the state in the last three years. The governor has dedicated a lot in the last three years in building a new Oyo State.
“Every month, he pays the workers as and when due.”
