Prince Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, have offered their support to Los Angeles residents reeling from devastating wildfires, described as the worst in the city’s history.Â
The couple visited the Pasadena Convention Center, where they comforted locals and spoke with emergency workers battling the Eaton Fire, one of the most destructive blazes.
The Eaton Fire alone has scorched nearly 14,000 acres, with containment efforts making little progress, as only three per cent of the fire has been brought under control.
The Sussexes, who reside in Montecito near Santa Barbara, approximately 92 miles from Los Angeles, have reportedly opened their home to friends displaced by the fires.

Since erupting earlier this week, the wildfires have swept across Southern California, forcing more than 80,000 residents to evacuate.Â
The infernos have reduced large parts of Los Angeles to ash, leaving many homeless and destroying several celebrity residences.
High-profile figures, including singer Jhene Aiko, actors Leighton Meester, Adam Brody, Anna Faris, Ricki Lake, Cary Elwes, Cameron Mathison, and reality stars Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag, have all confirmed losing their homes in the disaster.
The death toll from the wildfires has now risen to 11, according to the Los Angeles Medical Examiner.
