A United Kingdom-based talent manager, Abiola Timothy, has expressed the belief that London has a significant influence on Nigeria’s entertainment scene.
In an interview with Tribune Online on Tuesday morning, Abiola noted that this impact has been greatly felt in the areas of music, film, and culture.
He stated that opportunities presented availed birthed collaboration opportunities with international artists in London, adding that London is a melting pot for global influences.
“I believe London has a significant influence on Nigeria’s entertainment scene, especially in terms of music, film, and culture.
“Many Nigerian artists and filmmakers have found opportunities to collaborate with international talents in London, which helps to elevate their work and reach a broader audience.
“The city serves as a meeting point for diverse cultures, allowing Nigerian entertainment to blend with other global influences.
“I think events like concerts and film festivals in London often showcase Nigerian talent, highlighting the growing popularity of Afrobeats and Nollywood on the international stage.
“This cross-cultural exchange enriches both the London entertainment scene and Nigeria’s, creating a vibrant atmosphere for creativity and innovation. I believe London acts as a bridge, connecting Nigeria’s unique entertainment offerings to the global market.” He said
Speaking on his passion for the business, Timothy described the entertainment business as bringing stories to life and connecting with people, saying creativity and being imaginative distinguished him.
“I think the entertainment business is all about bringing stories to life and connecting with people. I have always been a very creative and imaginative person from a young age and always imagined myself being involved in the entertainment business somehow but wasn’t sure what area.” He said.
According to him, his experiences in various projects have only deepened his love for the industry, aiming to create content that resonates with viewers and sparks conversation.
