Eddie King, a musical maverick whose journey from the shores of Liberia to the vibrant music capital of Africa, Nigeria has been nothing short of extraordinary. His distinct sound, blending traditional Liberian influences with contemporary beats, has set him apart in an industry known for its dynamism and innovation.

It is with zest that he announced that he is making a grand entrance in the Nigerian entertainment scene with his debut single, ‘Omo Naija’ featuring Wale Waves and Igbako, a song which is quickly becoming a chart-topper across major music platforms.

Born in Monrovia, Liberia, he was raised in Ivory Coast and Ghana. He moved to the United States of America in 2004 where he completed his formal )__education.

Speaking on why he moved to Nigeria to promote his music, he said, ‘I just need to be heard. I believe I made great music. But the music is not great unless it’s been heard. Major I face in this industry is promotion. Paying people to do your work and they don’t do it. even if the do, it is done wrongly, and done half way.. always falling in the hands of criminals. People who really don’t wanna see me move forward’.

Speaking on his new sound and single, he said, “I am still trying to find my exact sound. So right now I am doing a bit of everything that has to do with afrobeats. I do Afro-pop, Afro-dancehall, Afro-fusion etc. I hope the world loves my new track ‘Omo Naija’. It speaks about the resilience that uis associated with Nigerians. They are a lovely people and this track is dedicated to them.”.
