Academic activities began on Monday morning at the College of Agricultural Sciences and Renewable Natural Resources, Iseyin campus of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, in Oyo State.

This is contained in a press statement forwarded to the Nigerian Tribune by the Public Relations Officer of the institution, Mr. Lekan Fadeyi.

According to the statement, “no fewer than 11 lecturers in both the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and the Faculty of Renewable Natural Resources of the university were led to the campus by the Acting Vice-Chancellor, Professor Razaq Olatunde Rom Kalilu.

“They arrived into the waiting hands of the immediate past chairman of the Academic Staff Union of the University (ASUU), Professor Abiodun Olaniran, who took students in the symbolic maiden lecture.

“Olaniran, who is the Head, Department of Crop Environmental and Production, as well as the coordinator of the course, took about 20 200-level students of the department in CEP 202 (Introductory Insect Science) at the occasion.

“Professor Kalilu, who inaugurated the College Board of Studies in July 2023 and has been directing Senate and management activities towards ensuring the actualisation of the Iseyin campus, was there to personally ensure a hitch-free takeoff of the campus, the statement concluded.
