Let us get back to the issue before you and me for today. The man who was panting for success asked her how she was able to become tick in business and she said, “…I started succeeding when I started leaving small fights for small people. I stopped fighting those who gossiped about me. I stopped fighting over unnecessary issues with my spouse. I stopped fighting for attention. I stopped fighting to meet up with public expectation. I left such fights for those who have nothing else to fight. And I started fighting for my vision, my dreams, my ideas and my destiny. Then I started winning.” This year and beyond, you may need to develop same successful mindset that has helped the woman (I am writing about) over the years. This will help you a great deal in both life and business.
To start with, visionaries do not muddle and clutter their mind with nonsense bickering. On the condition that your mind is cluttered and jumbled with irrelevant things, how are you going to think on things that shall move your life and business forward? Dreamers do not have time to think and fight for things that narrow-minded people spend all their time fight for. They only live and fight daily for their dreams. To move forward this year in life and business, you would need to stop fighting for useless things that those who are not going anywhere enjoying fight for.
Before you fight, always ask, what’s this fight going to add to my destiny? If it isn’t going to add any value to your destiny, just look the other away. Since I got to learn this life and business principle, I have stopped giving attention to things and people that are not relevant to my destiny. I have come to learn to walk away from people and things that are not relevant to my life assignment. If you won’t learn this, you’d continue to waste your precious and productive time on useless things and people who are not going to where you are headed in life and business.
Also, learn to always reward loyalty with loyalty and disloyalty with distance and aloofness. This is a life and business principle that shall move your life forward in this beautiful year and beyond. Buddy, never you allow people who do not esteem the value of loyalty to remain in your core circle of relationship. If you do, you are going to regret it in the days to come. Always test before you approve of anyone.
About 10 years ago, a young man came to my office, lamenting about what he heard that someone who was very close to him said about him. The issue I am x-raying took sleep away from his eyes and ended up getting him restless. He could not wrap his head around it. And because he came for my frank and candid counsel, I looked away from how he was feeling and I performed a surgical operation on him without using a needle. This is part of what I said to him: “When people talk about you, they are admitting that you are superior to them. If they cannot say in your presence what they say in your absence, it is a sure sign that they are afraid of you. You are not the first that folks would lie about and you’d certainly not be the last. Stop wasting your time thinking on irrelevant issues and people. Keep focusing on your vision. Keep working around the clock on it. When “Joseph” got to a place of influence and affluence, where was the wife of his former boss who told a huge lie about him? She was nowhere to be found! When you become successful later in life, those who are stabbing you in the back today will be nowhere to be found. Stop wasting your time thinking on issues that do not add any value to your destiny…” By the time I finished with him, he was ready to fly!
It is one thing for people to tell lies about you and it is another thing for them to cook up false witnesses. It once happened to “Nehemiah” of this world. What will you do if folks tell lies about you and go ahead to raise false witnesses? Would you commit suicide? No! While they are spreading rumors about you, continue to stick with your purpose and consistently work assiduously to deliver an outstanding success, because the best way to revenge without saying a word is to become extremely and exceptionally successful in life. Let them continue doing what they are on earth to do and you continue being extremely committed to your life and business. It is a small unnecessary fight, so look away. Keep fighting for your destiny. I see you become very successful in the days to come!
