LAUTECH best graduating students receive cash reward of N3m

Six best graduating students of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso have been rewarded with N500,000 each for brilliance performance.

The Convocation lecturer and Senior Special Adviser on Industrialization to the President of the African Development Bank Professor Banji Oyelaran-Oyeyinka rewarded the beneficiaries for their academic performance.

The beneficiaries included; the Overall best graduating of the University in the 2023/2024 academic session, Adeduntan Badirat who had a CGPA of 4.86 in Science Laboratory Technology, and five Engineering graduands.

Others are: Komolafe Teslim Gbolahan with CGPA of 4.77 in the department of Electronics and Electrical Engineering, AbdulRasheed Wasiu Also with CGPA of 4.72 in Chemical Engineering and Oladipo Johnson Omoniyi with CGPA of 4.71in Civil Engineering.

The list also include; Oyelade Oluwaseun Oluwafikunmi of Computer Engineering with CGPA of 4.67, as well as Eniade Miracle Stephen with CGPA 4.62 in Mechanical Engineering.

Oyelaran-Oyeyinka, in his lecture titled iCan Nigeria Thrive in Times of Tumultuous and Rapid Technological Changes” stressed the need for the Federal government to invest more on technological development.

According to him, “The Federal Government should prioritize development of technological strength of Nigerians.”
