The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a 25-year-old woman for allegedly conspiring with her younger brother and another accomplice to rob her boyfriend of three iPhones and bitcoins valued at approximately N15 million.
The Command’s spokesperson, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the arrest to journalists in Lagos on Saturday.
He said the matter was first reported by the complainant at the Okota Police Division on February 17.
“Upon receiving the report, the woman was apprehended,” Hundeyin said.
He noted that her confessional statement led officers to track and arrest her 22-year-old brother.
“Both of them confessed to the crime,” the spokesperson confirmed.
Hundeyin disclosed that all the stolen phones and a sum of N6.5 million had been recovered and documented with the exhibit keeper.
He added that investigations were still ongoing to apprehend the other members of the gang.
