LAGOS, Nigeria – July 18, 2024 – Filmone Limited, Nigeria’s leading film production and distribution company, has announced the appointment of Ladun Awobokun as Chief Content Officer.

This strategic move underscores the firm’s commitment to enhancing its creative vision and further solidifying its leadership in the entertainment industry.

In her former position as General Manager, Ladun Awobokun played a pivotal role in securing exclusive distribution rights in Anglophone West Africa for major Hollywood studios, including Sony Pictures and Walt Disney, positioning Filmone as a market leader with the highest market share in the region.

Under Ladun’s leadership, Filmone has distributed 90% of the top-grossing Nollywood films, including the groundbreaking “A Tribe Called Judah,” the first Nollywood film to surpass N1 Billion at the box office, “Wakanda Forever,” “Ajosepo” and “King of Thieves” to mention a few.

In her new role as Chief Content Officer, Ladun Awobokun will oversee the creative direction and content strategy of Filmone Limited.

Utilising her deep passion for storytelling and media production, she will be responsible for driving the development of high-quality, engaging content that resonates with audiences both locally and globally.

Her vision and leadership will be pivotal in continuing Filmone’s legacy of producing and distributing acclaimed films that elevate Nollywood on the global stage.
