Kogi gov’s wife urges Ondo women to co-operate with Akeredolu

Wife of Kogi State governor, Rashida Bello, at the weekend, urged Ondo people, especially the women folk, to co-operate with their new Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, as he commences his tenure in office.

She congratulated the new governor and his wife, Betty, for a successful inauguration.

In a statement issued by her Senior Special Assistant (Media), Olamide Adesoro, the Kogi governor’s wife said that the time had come for the people of Ondo State to work towards the change mantra of the Federal Government.

She expressed optimism that Akeredolu’s government will bring about the desired change in the lives of women, youth and the entire people of the state.

The Kogi governor’s wife noted that Akeredolu’s inauguration was not just victory for the All Progressives Congress (APC) alone, Owo kingdom, or Ondo State, but a victory for change in the country.

According to her, there is hope that the new government in Ondo will right what she described as the numerous mistakes of the past.

Bello said, she looked forward to working with Betty Akeredolu towards empowering Kogi women in their numbers who reside in the neighbouring Ondo State, to enable them occupy their rightful position on the economic ladder in the society.

She wished the new governor a successful tenure, and prayed for God’s wisdom to guide him through his administration.
