THE Actions Democratic Party (ADP), Kogi state chapter on Wednesday, asked the state governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, to convey a stakeholder’s summit to deliberate on the myriad of problems facing the state.
The publicity secretary of the party, Tims Ejigha, told newsmen during a condolence visit to the leadership of the Nigeria Union of journalists (NUJ) in Lokoja over the death of the late Edward Sodje, noted that the governor needed serious prayers to succeed.
He said that the events leading and surrounding the death of Soje were enough pointer to the fact that Bello and those working with him needed “serious prayers to deliver them from their bondage.
“Power is transient, there are people before you, whatever you do today, posterity should be the best judge”
Ejigha explained that the stakeholders meeting would discuss issues affecting the state and the outcome form the basis for all decisions of the administration.
According to him, the meeting became necessary as feedbacks from the people of the state showed that they were not pleased with developments in the state.
“No wonder Nigeria under the leadership of General Yakubu Gowon has scheduled prayer meeting for Kogi in order to court the favour of God in the state”, he said.
