Operatives of the Nigeria Police Force, Ogun State Command, on Monday, arrested four persons in respect of the abduction and later killing of a 7-year old boy, identified as Abdulmalik Musa.
The victim was kidnapped last Wednesday, at his parents house in Abeokuta.
It was gathered that the parents of the little boy paid a sum of N300,000 to the kidnappers who had demanded for N5,000,000.
The kidnappers, were reported to have connived with the uncle of the victim, Faruq Seidu, who was said to have demanded for some amount of money from the father of the deceased, Alhaji Abdulhammed Musa to marry a third wife.
Seidu, the prime suspect, however, was alleged to have contracted three others to abduct Malik, so as to forcefully collect money from his parents.

The boy was eventually killed by his abductors and thrown inside a river having recognised Seidu.
While parading the suspects, the Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, said the prime suspect claimed innocence of the crime.
However, one of the suspects said Seidu contracted them to carry out the job on his behalf and that he eventually killed the boy.
The PPRO police said, “This is a case of a breakthrough in respect of an adoption and murder, what is happening here is the height of inhumanity to man.
“On 11th of this month, a case of adoption was reported at one of our division, Sabo Division in Ilupeju.
“About 24 hours after, the kidnappers made a request of N5 million and we asked the family to play along with them and later they agreed to take N300,000 and after payment, they still killed the boy and throw his body into the river.
” I want to appeal to the members of the public to trust nobody. because if a brother can do this to his brother who should then be trusted ?. But, I want to sound a serious warning to criminals in the state and I will be borrowing from the words of the Governor, when he said, hellfire will be more conducive for criminals than Ogun state.”
