Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Nasiru Idris, swore in 26 members of his cabinet as commissioners on Friday, just as he created six additional Ministries to the nineteen existing ones with a warning to perform up to expectations or be removed.

Governor Idris stated that the appointment and posting of the Commissioners were based on their track records of service in the public and private sectors.

He charged them to mingle with the people of the grassroots in their various local government areas to know and feel their pains and come up to the government with solutions to their problems.

Governor Idris also called on the newly sworn-in Commissioners to cooperate with the government to ensure the success of the administration.

He, however, directed the new Commissioners to go to their respective Ministries and commence work immediately for the betterment of the people of the state.

The new Ministries created include the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Empowerment, the Ministry of Digital Economy, and the Ministry of Home Affairs and Internal Security.

Other ministries include the Ministry of Establishment, Training, and Pensions, the Ministry of Solid Mineral Development and Mining, and the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
