Kastina chapter of the People’s Democratic party PDP has suspended Senator Umar Ibrahim Tsauri, the former national Secretary of the party.
The letter for the suspension forwarded to newsmen and signed by the Tsauri ward Chairman Danjuma Abubakar and Secretary Abdullahi Garba has enumerated 3 main reasons for the suspension.
According to the letter the former national secretary is accused of anti-party activities and unguarded utterances against the party’s state and national leadership.

It says, these actions of the senator are embarrassing and destructive to the parties existence.
The suspension letter as forwarded to the state PDP headquarters in Katsina says, the ward officials relied on article 59(1) of the party’s constitution in suspending Senator Tsauri.
Responding to the suspension, the state headquarters of the party through it’s public relations officer, Alhaji Lawal Audi ‘Yar’adua has acknowledged the receipt of the suspension letter from the senator’s ward.
While addressing newsmen, he disclosed that the party has set-up a  committee to investigate the allegations against the senator.
The PRO vowed that no matter the status of any member the party will abide by the provision of the constitution in dealing with him.
In a swift response, Senator Umar Tsauri vowed that the ward and state chapter of the party have no powers to suspend him.
He denied ever receiving any letter to depend himself over the allegation made against him.
The former national Secretary said, those who claimed to have suspended him did not follow the right channel as far as he knew the PDP constitution.
He said, “Even those who they claimed to have signed the suspension letter from my ward, were deceived into doing so.
“They were deceived to sign on a plain paper, which was later conspired.
“It’s my son and close relation, you know as I know, none of them can endorse the letter as it’s forwarded now by this people who have sinister motives.”
