Kano State Commissioner for Works and Housing, Mr. Marwan Ahmed, has confirmed that State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has approved projects worth over N30 billion across the state.
During a press briefing on Monday, Ahmed announced that the contracts had been awarded, and today they were approved for execution.
He also mentioned that various contractors have been awarded these contracts and that agreements were signed on Monday.
According to him, “These projects includes, the construction of Tudun Yola Gwarze Road, Dansudau Bypass in (Unogog LGA), Kano State to cost N1,896,8887,547.57.and to SKY technical and construction company.
While the construction of Jafar/Madobi Road, Underpass and Abacha Youth Center Road, Kano State of N1,323,015,811.72 was awarded to Radoc Construction Nigeria Limited.
The Commissioner further disclosed that other projects were
the rehabilitation/Asphaltic Overlay of Sabo Bakin Zuwo Road, (From Government House Round About Maiduguri Road, Kano, to cost N2,014,192,186.55 and was awarded to Radoc construction Nigeria Limited.
However, Alhaji Ahmed added that the rehabilitation/Asphaltic overlay of a Road from Airport Junction -Ashton Road – Club Road, Murtala Muhammad Way Round About, Kano State, would gulped a sum of
N7,469,771,591.42, awarded to Gerawa Global Engineer Limited.
While the completion of 5KM Dualized Road, in Rano LGA, Kano State,of N2,741,854,297,56 also to be undertaken by Gerawa Global Engineer Limited.
He hinted that the installation of Solar Powered Streetlight at 5KM Dualized in Albasu LGA, Kano State which would cost.
N348,658,528.59 was awarded Paradigm Architech and Remodeling of African House Conference Hall at Government House, Kano, also to gulped N1,870,814,360.10.
Ahmed who also stated that all these projects were aimed to pave the way for a befitting outlook of the state as well as to ensure the judiciously utilisation of state resources for overall development.
